Angelina Jolie is an American actress, filmmaker and humanitarian. She has established herself as one of the most prominent and influential celebrities in the world. She has won numerous awards, including three Golden Globe Awards, two Screen Actors Guild Awards and an Academy Award.

Jolie was born on June 4, 1975 in Los Angeles, California to actors Jon Voight and Marcheline Bertrand. She had a difficult childhood, which included her parents' divorce, her mother's battle with cancer, and the death of her brother. Despite the challenges she faced, Jolie found strength and solace in her love of performing and film. Jolie began her acting career in 1993, starring in the television film "Cyborg 2" and the feature film "Hackers".
