Michael Jordon (1963 – ) US Basketball star
Michael Jeffrey Jordan, famously known as “MJ”, is one of the greatest athletes of all time. He was born on February 17, 1963 in Brooklyn, New York. Growing up, Michael was an exceptional basketball player, but he had to work hard for it. His family moved to Wilmington, North Carolina, where he attended Laney High School.Jordan was cut from his high school basketball team, but that didn’t stop him from working hard to become one of the greatest. He worked tirelessly on his skills, and eventually earned a spot on the varsity team. He was named a McDonalds All-American, and was selected by the Chicago Bulls in the 1984 NBA Draft.
MJ quickly became a sensation in the NBA. He led the Bulls to six NBA Championships, and was named the NBA Most Valuable Player five times. He was a ten-time NBA All-Star and an Olympic Gold Medalist. Jordan also made history by becoming the first player to win three consecutive MVP awards.
Michael Jordan was an incredible scorer, but he was also an exceptional defender. He was known for his ability to steal the ball from opposing players and his ability to block shots. He was also a great team leader, always motivating his teammates to give their best effort.
Jordan was an exceptionally talented player, but he was also known for his competitiveness. He was determined to win, and he refused to accept anything less than the best. He pushed himself and his teammates to always strive for excellence.
Michael Jordan will always be remembered as one of the greatest basketball players of all time. His influence on the game, and his undeniable drive to win, will continue to be an inspiration to athletes everywhere.
