Bio Data Or Biography Of Salman Khan: Notoriously known as Bollywood’s bad boy, Salman Khan hails from a notable filmy family unit. He is the eldest son of Salim Khan, who himself is a screenwriter, & his wife Salma Khan. Former Bollywood actress Helen is his stepmother. Arbaaz Khan, Sohail Khan, Alvira & Arpita are Salman Khan’s siblings. Actor/director Atul Agnihotri is Salman’s brother–in–law wedded to Alvira. Salman Khan has ended his schooling in Mumbai – St. Stanislaus High School – Bandra.

Salman Khan made his debut in Biwi Ho To Aisi (1988) in which he played a supporting role. He made his debut in lead role in Sooraj Barjatva’s loving family drama movie Maine Pyar Kiya for which he won Filmare Best Male Debut Award & was also nominated for Filmfare Best Actor reward. Baaghi: A Rebel for Love on (1990), in which he starred opposite southern actress, Nagma, was a major box-office success. In 1991, Salman gave a hat trick with Patthar Ke Phool, Sanam Bewafa & Saajan. The next couple of years were quiet unsuccessful for Salman. Hum Aapke Hain Koun..! Salman then go on to act in a number of films together with Bhansali’s  directional debut Khamoshi: The Auzaar (1997), Pyaar Kiya To Darna Kya (1998), Jab Pyaar Kisise Hota Hai (1998), Musical (1996), Judwaa (1997), Kuch Kuch Hota Hai (1998). All the films did pretty well at the box-office. His cameo in Kuch Kuch Hota Hai win him great the Filmfare award for Best Supporting Actor.

1999 was a fertile year for Salman as it churned out three major winning films – Hum Saath-Saath Hain, Biwi No. 1 and Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam, the latter receiving him a Filmfare Best Actor’s selection.

Wanted (2009) remains one of Salman’s blockbuster hit. But Main Aur Mrs. Khanna & London Dreams released on this year did not do so well. And then Dabangg (2010) happen! The movie broke all box-office records, thus becoming the second highest grossing Indian movie of all time. Salman received the Star Screen Best Actor reward for the movie and was selected for Filmfare Best Actor Award as well.

Is Shakti Mohan quitting Dil Dosti Dance for the dance reality show?

Dil Dosti Dance (D3) is a popular dance centric youth soap that airs on Channel V. The show newly introduced four new typescript to take the story to the front.

If rumours are to be supposed, Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 7’s top contestant Shakti Mohanhas it seems that put down her papers ‘coz she finds it hard to manage D3 and JDJtogether. All the extra work is taking a toll on her health. In fact, Shakti aka Kriya had just connected the show after a break as Kunwar Amar aka Rey’s love interest.

Stories also suggest that her co-star Kunwar Amar too has left the show. The actor has apparently bagged a new reality show on Life OK – so we hear. While this news will destroy their fans, the producers seem to be very cool about it. They have decided to take the show forward without Rey and Kriya.

While we appreciate Kriya’s predicament, we also think she shouldn’t go away D3. Reality shows come and go; what if Shakti doesn’t make it to the finals of JDJ? Will she still think this was a wise decision? Guess only time will tell. Until then stay tuned to this space for more news and rumor.

An acclaimed Kathak dancer, acting was not her goal, for she wanted to be a Micro-biologist, and did study in that course in Bombay's Parle College, in Vile Parle (East), Bombay.

She first appeared on Bollywood's tinsel screen in 1986 with two releases 'Abodh' and 'Swati', and from then continued to act in just about 66 movies, as well has lent her voice as a playback singer in 'Devdas' and 'Wajood'. She has won just about 12 awards from Filmare, Star Screen and Zee for her performances in 'Dil', 'Beta', 'Hum Aapke Hain Kaun', 'Dil To Pagal Hai', 'Devdas', 'Raja', 'Mrityudand', and 'Lajja'.

In 1999 she got married to Dr. Sriram Madhav Nene, a Cardiovascular Surgeon, belonging to the same Caste as the Dixit family, and relocated to Denver, Colorado, U.S.A., where she subsequently gave birth to two sons, Arin and Ryan in March, 2003 and March 8, 2005 respectively.
